England offers a vast array of gay travel options, which is one of the reasons that it continually remains among the most popular LGBT vacation destinations in the world. With a highly visible LGBT community, numerous events throughout the year and a much greater equality than that given to the LGBT community in the U.S., England is the perfect setting for LGBT vacations. Between the enticing London club scene, the restful shores of Brighton, the beautiful English countryside and the diverse urban landscapes, LGBT travel tourists of all kinds will delight in the LGBT vacation options that England provides.

Old Compton Street and the Soho district of London is the center of LGBT life and is a must-see for any LGBT traveler on a vacation to England. With a multitude of bars, businesses, restaurants and clubs, Soho has the most active, visible community in England. Soho is also centrally located near many of London's landmarks and world-famous neighborhoods, such as Chelsea, Kensington, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and Covent Garden. Plus, thanks to an expansive public transportation system, all of London's offerings are easily accessible from this neighborhood. For travelers heading north, Manchester has another large LGBT community, including a village around Canal Street that offers numerous gay bars, pubs and clubs.

For a seaside vacation, Brighton, aka Soho by the Sea, is home to the country's second largest LGBT community. Stroll along the pier, spend an afternoon on the famous pebble beach and explore the many unique boutiques and shops before heading to Kempton for dinner and a night on the town in this popular neighborhood in Brighton. Newcastle Gateshead is yet another LGBT-friendly option for a vacation in England and offers a bit of style and sophistication with a thriving scene complete with a village full of bars, clubs, cafés and pubs.

Travelers will find LGBT-owned and LGBT-friendly accommodations in all of England's regions, including establishments that exclusively serve the LGBT travel community or specifically gay men. LGBT travelers who choose to work with a travel agency well-versed in planning vacations in England will benefit from working with a travel agent who can suggest the LGBT-friendly or LGBT-owned hotel, bed and breakfast or other lodgings option that will best meet your needs. If camping is on the agenda for your England vacation, LGBT-owned and LGBTy-friendly campgrounds are available, including Out in the Open, a LGBT-owned campsite in Cornwall, and Brighthouse Farm, offering a six-acre campground, bed and breakfast and self-catering lodgings in Suffolk.

An England vacation planned with the assistance of a professional travel agency dedicated to arranging LGBT travel is sure to be one of the greatest vacations of your life.
